Program Description:

Athens, Greece
  • Spend 3 weeks in the extraordinary city of Athens.
  • Earn 3 credits studying at DEREE – The American College of Greece where you can choose a course in archaeology, history, culture or international business.
  • All courses are taught in English.
  • Live in apartment-style residence complex.
  • Enjoy a day trip to Delphi and the Sanctuary of Apollo – as well as numerous social and cultural activities, such as a Greek food tour, visits to local museums and walking tours of the city.
  • Transcripts issued by DEREE – The American College of Greece.

Drake students participating on this program are required to submit TWO applications that can be completed at the same time:
  1. Drake International Application
    • Attend Education Abroad 101
    • Click on the Apply Now button at the top of the page
    • Schedule a meeting with an Education Abroad Advisor BEFORE the application deadline
    • Receive email notification when your Drake International Application is Nominated and/or Accepted
    • Log back in to Commit to your program
  2.  Affiliate Partner Application
    • Click on the Homepage link above and apply to the program
    • Receive approval to participate from your Drake Education Abroad Advisor
    • Receive an update directly from the Affiliate regarding your Affiliate Application status
      • Upload a copy of your acceptance letter to your Drake International Application
  • Courses and accommodation are organized by the Affiliate program: (Click on the Homepage link above)
  • Credits earned through a Drake Affiliate Partner Program will be transfer credits
  • Participants are required to maintain full-time status (the equivalent of 12 U.S. American Credits) while abroad
  • Click on the Homepage link above for information about program costs
  • For Fall, Spring, and Academic Year Programs, students will pay the application fee/deposit directly to the Affiliate Partner and will pay the rest of the program fee through their Drake Account
  • For Summer Programs, students will pay all fees directly to the Affiliate Partner
  • Students will be held to the Refund and Withdrawal Policy of the Affiliate Program Provider and should familiarize themselves with this policy
  • Fifty percent of a student’s Drake Funding could potentially apply toward the program. Students should contact the Office of Student Financial Planning to confirm your award amount after you have selected a program
