I loved spending time in Western Australia and I'm really glad that I decided to study on the more remote side of the country and see the things that some tourists miss. Perth is the only major city around, so between it and the port city of Fremantle, you have everything you could possibly want very close by. I had so many perfect days, starting out with a swim on a gorgeous beach, followed by dinner in Freo, sitting outside and soaking up the atmosphere. There are also some fantastic outback experiences in the region.
