Program Description:
EDU189/HON167/MSLD297: Global Citizenship: The Culture of The Iberian Peninsula
Cris Wildermuth and Sarah Noll-Wilson
AOI: Global and Cultural Understanding, Honors
The main goals of this interdisciplinary course are to (a) expose students to the complexity of culture, with a special focus on the challenges and opportunities inherent to intercultural contact and (b) help students connect the culture of the Iberian Peninsula to its history and current political, economic, and business climate.

Please consider the physical challenges presented by this course:
This is a very intensive course. There is quite a bit of walking.  12-hour days will be the norm (with breaks during the day) especially as dinner time is very late in Spain and Portugal.  Many of the historical and cultural sites have steep stairs and long walks to read the main buildings. We will do our best to make accommodations, but that may mean not being able to visit some sites.

Estimated Range for 2019: $4,460-4,900. Airfare included.
