Description:
Student will spend time in each of the health care sites that PIMS provides: Hospital, Clinic on PIMS campus, remote clinics, Mobile Clinics, and TEAM events.  Along with the work at each healthcare site, students will complete a public health project while in country. PharmD students may be involved in direct patient care or clinical research while Health Science students may participate in activities appropriate to their level of training.  HS students may continue to work with data related to their project after their return.  While participating in the experience, students are expected to follow HIPAA standards.

Travel
Students should arrange their own travel and coordinate with other students to arrive at approximately the same time and date. A representative from PIMS will pick up students at the Mumbai Airport and take them to PIMS.
 
Student Housing: International Housing
  • Fully furnished
  • Staffed by security 24 hours/day
  • Meals and day-to-day needs are provided on campus
  • PIMS staff will help plan unrelated weekend excursions and provide transportation, but students are responsible for those travel costs
